Simon Burns-Cox is a sculptor and carver working in marble and stone. He specialises in lettering and works from his studio in Bath and is a member of the Royal Society of British Sculptors and The Bath Society of Artists.

He trained in stone carving and lettering in the Cotswolds and then went to Rome, for two years to study marble carving and sculpture techniques where he worked in artisan workshops.


Curiculum Vitae

2004 to the present

Sculptor and Carver/Lettering in Marble and Stone working at The Widcombe Studios, Bristol Road Bath.

2001 - 2004 

Studying marble carving and sculptural techniques at Franco, Er Marmista, Via dei Coronari, Rome under the renowned Marcello Cicchinelli at The Aranova Studios, Rome, Italy.

1996 - 2000

Working in Stone carving and lettering, Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire.

Stone carving course at Portland, Dorset

Apprentice in Stone carving with Wayne Fisher of Wells Masonary, Tetbury Glos.
