Kate lives and works in South Gloucestershire. Following her foundation course in Chesterfield, she graduated in Theatre Design from the Nottingham College of Art. She worked very successfully for several years as a theatre designer with leading companies including The Swan Theatre in Chester. She also designed nd created props for the National Theatre in London and elsewhere. She then moved her focus to design and technology which she studied at the University of London, Goldsmith's College and qualified as a teacher.
In 1984 she moved from London to South Gloucestershire where she established hereself as a painter. During this time she became very involved with horses which have become the focus of much of her work.
She has exhibited widely at galleries and private collections including Rooths Gallery in Bradford-on-Avon, The Forum in Bath, The Victoria Gallery in Bath, and the Temple Gallery in Vaux-sur-Mer, France.
